First of all, I´d like to thank you for inviting me to your Championship Show and grant me the opportunity to take a look at your Rhodesian ridgebacks. All of them were absolutely breathtaking and I had a seriously hard time picking the winners. Once again it was an awesome experience to judge so far away from home.

My thanks also goes to Edith, my lovely steward, for all the hard work she had put in to help the show run smoothly.

Overall impressions:

I had many excellent dogs to go through and I was very pleased with my in-show winners. I was ecstatic seeing all the beautiful body formats without sloping backs, strong bone structures and dynamic movement. This by itself says alot about your breeding.

I would also like to point our your approach to showing dogs. Most if not all all of them were presented by their owners and not handlers. That was wonderful!

Class: ​Minor puppy dog:

1 st. – 42 Kekoa King Midas of Luanda at Redcrown (Imp Svk)

Very promising puppy of an excellent type. Lovely balance. Nice head and expression, well formed muzzle, scissors bite, correct eyes, ears well set. Nice length of neck, strong topline, well built chest. Well angulated in front and rear, moved with plenty of reach and drive. Nice ridge, correct coat structure. BPD.

1 st. – 67 Suhuba Dream On

Excellent type, overall impression is very nice, masculine head and expression with a clean neck leading into good shoulders. Scissors bite, correct eyes, ears well set. Nice depth of chest, correct top line, well angulated in front and rear, moved well with straight front action and was good in the rear too. Great coat condition, nice ridge, friendly character

2 nd. – 61 Kinabula’s Bonjangles of Dellared

Elegant, well balanced dog still in development. A little high–legged at the moment. Nicely shaped head, scissors bite, correct eyes, ears well set. Nice lenght of neck, strong topline. He could have a better chest. Firm elbows, flexible pasterns. Offers lovely free movement. Nice coat color, correct ridge.

Class: ​Junior dog:

1 st. – 12 Asharaa’s Perfect Match with Faahac

Strong bone structure, nice pigment, good substance. Overall impression is great, nicely shaped head, strong muzzle, correct eyes, well carried ears. Good neck and well proportioned body, well carried tail. He had firm, level back movement with plenty drive. Great coat condition, correct ridge, friendly character.

2 nd. – 3 Asharaa’s Dark Side of the Moon at Gileeja

Well developing dog, symmetrical in outline. Correct and strongh enough head, scissor bite, correct eyes, ears well set, nice lenght of neck. Nicely indicated whithers, correct top line. Upper arm is a little bit straight. Excellent depth of chest. A bit loose in the front, however still showing quality on the move. Good angulation in the rear.

Class: ​Yearling dog:

1 st. – 54 Jimanns Ace of Spades

Excellent type with a lovely balance, overall impression is very nice. Nicely shaped head, scissor bite, correct eyes, ears well set, good length of neck, well placed shoulders. Correct depth of chest. Strong top line, well angulated in the front and rear. He offers lovely free movement with plenty of reach and drive. Nice coat color, correct ridge. Would like to see him when he´s older.

2 nd. – 12 Asharaa’s Perfect Match with Faahac

Compact dog with good substance overall, good size and fine proportions, correct and strong enough head, scissor bite, correct eyes, ears well set, good length of neck. Not the best topline with slightly sloping croup. Correct depth of chest, sufficiently angulated in front and rear. Moved well with plenty of reach and drive corresponding to his body structure. Nice coat color, correct ridge

Class: ​Post graduate dog:

1 st. – 71 If I Can Dream Energy of Africa for Saadani (Imp Cze)

Lovely balanced dog, symmetrical in outline. Well developed body with good bones, substance. Nicely shaped head, well formed muzzle with correct a underjaw. Scissors bite, nice round eyes, ears well set, good length of neck. Correct topline. I would prefer longer croup. Nice depth of chest, well indicated sternum, correctly angulated in front and rear. Moved with plenty of reach and drive. Great coat condition, correct ridge.

2 nd. – 64 Zougani Zante

Compact dog with strong bones. Nice proportions, correct head. Scissors bite, good eyes, ears well set. Long, elegant neck, strong topline, well proportioned with good front and rear, great posture. He needs to develop more drive in his movement, correct ridge.

Class: ​Limit dog:

1 st. – 26 Rottzridge Top O The Class

Male of an excellent type, good size, elegant, well muscled boy with fine overall balance. Lovely head with correct ears. Nice length of neck, correct topline, depth of chest. Little straight in the upper arm, well angulated behind. Moved well with good drive. Great temperament, coat condition, nice ridge. RDCC.

2 nd. – 13 Villagedogs Rise of Phoenix at Saadani (Imp Bel)

Well balanced dog, symmetrical in the outline, good bones, substance and powerful body. Masculine head with a well formed muzzle. Scissor bite, nice round eyes, ears well set, beautiful elegant neck. Correct topline, croup is slightly sloping. Nice depth of chest, well indicated sternum. Sufficiently angulated in the front, well in the rear. He offers lovely free movement, rear legs showing drive. Nice coat condition and pigment, correct ridge and great temperament

Class: ​Open dog:

1 st. – 86 Shavano’s Quality of Life by Oliver (Imp Nor)

Lovely, elegant dog with lots of things that I like. Overall impression is wonderful. Beautiful, dry, cleancut head and an excellent expression. Well formed muzzle, good underjaw. Scissor bite, nice round eyes, ears well set. Nice length of neck leading into good shoulders. Well built chest, correct topline with a perfectly shaped croup. Well proportioned with good front and rear, presented stationary really well. Very nice and easy movement with firm, level back. Great coat condition, correct ridge, pleasant nature. No doubts about the winner. DCC & BIS.

2 nd. – 1 Diamondridge Di Caprio

Compact dog, well balanced male, taller type. Masculine head, nice pigment. Scissor bite, nice round eyes, ears well set. Correct, strong topline. Powerful loins, well angulated in front and rear, moved with plenty reach and drive. Correct ridge, joyful temperament. One of my favorites.

Lovely type. Excellent puppy with a nice body and excellent proportions for her age. Beautiful head and expression, scissor bite, correct eyes, ears well set. Nice lenght of neck, correct topline, well built chest. Good angulation in the front and rear, moved with plenty reach and drive. Correct ridge and coat structure

Class: ​Puppy bitch:

1 st. – 39 Negasi Elberith for Clanbruachan

Elegant female, overall impression is very nice, nicely shaped head with an excellent expression. Scissor bite, correct eyes, ears well set. Nice depth of chest, top line needs more strength, a little long in the loins, correctly angulated in the front and the rear. Handler did not get the best out from her but moved well. She offers lovely free movement. Great coat condition, nice ridge, friendly character. BPB & BPIS.

2 nd. – 13 Callmn’s Cut the Crop

Well balanced puppy, that is still developing. Nicely shaped head, scissor bite, correct eyes, ears well set. Nice lenght of neck, strong topline. Croup is slightly sloping. Depth of chest is excellent. Movement has plenty of reach and drive. Nice coat color, correct ridge.

Well made female, elegant, good substance. Overall impression is great, nicely shaped head, correct eyes, well carried ears. Good neck and well proportioned body, correct topline, tail well set. Movement with plenty of drive. Front legs go slightly inward while runing. Great coat condition, correct ridge. RBCC.

2 nd. – 53 Rubicon Red Marvelous Pepper Pots (Imp Mne)

Well balanced female, symmetrical outline. Correct, strong head, scissor bite, correct eyes, ears well set, nice lenght of neck. Correct topline. Upper arm is a little bit straight. Excellent depth of chest. A bit loose in front, but still showing quality on the move. Well angulated in the rear. Moved well, rear legs are showing drive.

Correct depth of chest. Correct topline, well angulated in front and rear. She offers lovely free movement with plenty reach and drive. Nice coat color, correct ridge.

Elegant and well balanced female, symmetrical in outline. Nice proportions, correct and enough head. Scissor bite, nice round eyes, ears well set, good length of neck. Correct topline. Nice depth of chest, correctly angulated in front and rear. Moved with plenty reach and drive. Great coat condition, correct ridge.

2 nd. – 60 Callmn’s Queen Bee of Mahanovaemi

Compact female with strong bones. Nice proportions, correct head. Scissor bite, good eyes, ears well set. Slightly open ear. Long, elegant neck, correct topline, well proportioned with sufficient angulation in the front and in the rear. Movement has good drive, correct ridge.

Elegant, well balanced female of a good size. Lovely head with a correctly set ear. Nice length of neck, correct topline in motion. She need better presentation in a static position. Little straight in upper arm, well angulated behind. Moved well with a good drive. Great temperament, coat condition, nice ridge.

2 nd. – 8 Barfordridge Wilhelmina of Janak

Symmetrical in the outline, good bones, substance and powerful body. Correct head with well formed muzzle. Scissor bite, nice round eyes, ears well set, beautiful elegant neck. Correct topline. Nice depth od chest, well indicated sternum. Sufficiently angulated in the front, well in the rear. She offers free movement, rear legs are showing drive. Nice coat condition, correct ridge and great temperament

Elegant female with excellent balance. Good bones, substance. Nice body. Correct and strong looking head. Nice round eyes, but I prefer darker colours. Well formed muzzle, good underjaw. Scissor bite, ears well set. Nice length of neck leading into good shoulders. Well built chest, correct top line. Well angulated in front and the rear. Very nice and easy movement with firm, level back. Great coat condition, correct ridge, very nicely presented. BCC & RBIS.

2 nd. – 33 Nuthouse Queen of Clubs JW

High quality female, well balanced. Overall impression is very nice. Nicely shaped head, scissor bite, nice round eyes, ears well set. Correct, strong topline. Well indicated sternum. Powerful loins, well angulated in the front and the rear, She had a firm, level back, correct ridge.

1 st. – 11 Kitoko Mabel

Nice type, well proportioned and balanced. Good bones and substance. Excellent condition for her age. Lovely head with nice eyes, correct neck and shoulders, well angulated in the front and the rear. Very nice and easy movement. She's just beautiful. Adored her from the moment she walked into the ring. BVIS.

2 nd. – 32 Nuthouse Hot Stuff

Another lovely female with a beautiful expression on her face. Well balanced, nice proportions, symmetrical in the outline. Ears well set, beautiful elegant neck. Correct topline. Little straight in the shoulders, but has firm elbows. Well angulated behind. Moves with good action.
