Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Scotland
About Us
Originally a branch of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain, the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Scotland achieved full Breed Club status in 1992. The primary aims of the Club are to further the interests of the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed, to run dog shows and to promote seminars and social activities of an educational nature. Our primary focus is the breed and the owners in Scotland but we warmly welcome members from all over the United Kingdom and worldwide.
To meet our aims we hold a Championship Show and Open Show each year, organise two walks (not too strenuous!) and a fantastic Fun Day, as well as educational seminars on a regular basis. We continuously strive to improve and the Committee works hard to come up with new ideas members are encouraged to offer up new ideas for consideration and, of course, to volunteer to help at events.
The Club has come a long way since 1992. The first Scottish-bred champion was awarded in 1995 and our first Championship Show was held in November 2007. We also organised a Supermatch in Harrogate in 2000 and another in Biggar in 2016, both with a great attendance and atmosphere!
The Club is here to help members enjoy whatever aspect of owning a Rhodesian Ridgeback they wish to pursue please help your Committee to help you!!
